Subpoenas served to drug pushers

The Revolutionary People’s Court of southwest guerrilla Front last November 15, 2011 issued a subpoena against one Mr Rene Lim of Sitio Pasalan, Brgy Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental on a case filed by the people against him on selling dangerous drugs particularly shabu.

Mr Lim’s drug dealings is an open secret in Sitio Pasalan and the whole Brgy Caliling. This anti-people drug business of Mr Lim also include his family. Their costumers include policemen of Cauayan and the city of Sipalay, members of the Community Peace and Development Team (CPDT) of the Civil Military Operations (CMO). Battalion under the 303rd Bde, Philippine Army that is stationed in the old Brgy Hall of Caliling.

Together with Lim in his business is his mother and a sibling. The two have a pending case of possession of illegal drugs. The Lims have business connections with the Cuadra family of Bacolod City that is well known to this kind of anti-people trade.

Because of the reactionary government’s ineptness in stopping and punishing these people and on the contrary tolerated the culprits, the people has no other recourse but to file the case on the Revolutionary Court because of the bad effects of drugs on the lives of the people. Many cases of houses being looted, sexual harassment of women, robbery as a result of “trippings”on the influenced of shabu. The communities are troubled.

Under Revolutionary justice, the selling of dangerous and illegal drugs like shabu is a capital offense and is punishable by death. The Communist Party in its statements has included druglords being part of bad and anti-people elements as target of of punitive actions by the NPA.

Besides Rene Lim, a subpoena was also served on a certain Lito Espinosa of Sitio Kalapnisan, Brgy Inayawan who is also accused of selling marijuana to students at the barangay high school in Inayawan. A .38 revolver was taken from Espinosa which he used in intimidating people and disturbing the peace of the community.
