Mary Jane Baynosa has never been recruited to the NPA. The NPA in Northern Negros strictly adheres to the implementation of the directive of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) that only those who are 18 years old and above can join the NPA. Those who are 17 years old and below are prohibited in joining the NPA. Mary Jane Baynosa is a local youth activist , when the NPA is nearby she usually enter the encampment as a guest and not as a member of the NPA. She usually talks and mingles with the young NPAs aged 18 years old and above.

The accusation of Mary Jane Baynosa that she was recruited by the NPA is a gross injustice to the NPA because this is a big lie and far from the truth. The NPA is aware that Mary Jane is a minor and can never be a member of the NPA.

On the accusation of Mary Jane Baynosa that she was rape by an NPA commander named Rogelio Danioso—this is also NOT TRUE. The NPA has high respect for the dignity and rights of women. The revolutionaty movement protects and promote the interest of women. The MAKIBAKA or Malayang Kilusan ng Bagong Kababaihan a revolutionary mass organization of women fights for their rights and interests. The case of RAPE is a serious criminal offense punishable by death in the revolutionary movement. However the statements made by Mary Jane Baynosa is based on a script made by the psywar and expert liars of the Phil Army and is totally not true. The NPA is sure that the perpetrators of sexual abuse against Mary Jane Baynosa are members of the Phil Army. Mary Jane is helpless because she is being pampered by money by the military which is also her weakness.

We condemn the Phil Army of violating the rights of Mary Jane by using her as a guide in their military operation in the hinterlands of Toboso and Calatrava. The concrete violators of Mary Jane’s rights as a minor is the Phil Army. The military does not even respect itself. It makes fun with itself by fabricating lies and scripted stories. The masses in the countrysides who knows the NPA and the truth will not be deceived by these lies spread by the Phil Army.

The Phil Army has also gathered and desperately pressured former NPAs who were already living as ordinary civilians for more than two years and paraded them as active NPAs who surrendered. The NPA declares that not a single active NPA in Northern Negros has surrendered.
