This is not a new psywar advertisement of the haciendero-broker-comprador of sheep Governor Alfredo Marañon and “Palparanatic” Col Oscar Lactao in their daydreaming of victories in implementing Oplan Bayanihan. The truth is they are running out of gimmicks to deceive the public, the struggling Negrosanons and the revolutionary movements in their promotion of localized peace talks and surrender of NPAs.

Not a single guerrilla front in the island of Negros was wiped out by Oplan Bayanihan or it’s predecessor Oplan Bantay Laya. The NPA as the real army of the people remain steadfast and has expanded despite several hardships and sacrifices that are common and necessary in victories and gaining experience. The NPA is happy to have hardships and sacrifices as companions in their daily revolutionary works and in service to the people of Negros especially in the countrysides.

Marañon and Lactao are only for the peace and development of the greedy landlords, bureaucrat capitalists in government, compradors and foreign monopoly capitalists. Their cooperation is very clear in the operations of large scale mining, eco-tourism and other types of land-use conversions. They rejoice in the preservation of land monopoly and reign of foreign investors and capitalists so they can have a quick share in kickbacks, privileges, loans, grants and aids. Maranon fully supports low and wage freeze policy, increase in taxes imposed on the people and the sale of public properties.

The NPA and the revolutionary movement in Negros island will frustrate the anti-people Oplan Bayanihan program of militarization and aggression of foreign mines, land grabbing and destruction of people’s livelihood. The NPA will intensify it’s tactical offensives so it can contribute to the national goal of entering the stage of strategic stalemate in the years to come.
