After the recent massive military operations of the 4ID slowed down, NPA units in NEMR reported the following military actions that have been launched:

1. August 31, 2011 in the mountains of Bangayan, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte – Two harassment-sniping actions resulted to the wounding of an undetermined number on the side of the enemy. No NPA was wounded.

The number of wounded from the enemy was undetermined while no member of the NPA was wounded. Caught by surprise, the comrades (believing that the military will not pass by), fired upon the army who suddenly appeared where they were positioned. The Red Fighters left behind belongings, including the buried CDX that they failed to discharge. The army discharged said CDX at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

On the same day at around 10:30- 11:20 in the morning, an airstrike of two MG-520s was launched for almost an hour after they were ambushed by the NPA at around 8 o’clock in the morning. The mountain areas where the military thought the NPA retreated was the target of the airstrikes. After the airstrike, two military helicopters delivered boxes of ammunitions and food in the same area.

At around 11 o’clock in the morning two MG-520s launched an airstrike with bombing lasting for about 30 minutes. In the two airstrikes no NPA forces were hit. No farmer was also hit by the said bombing because they did not go to their farms since the massive military operations started last August 30, 2011.
