The masses of workers, unemployed and lower petty bourgeoisie who populate urban poor communities have no choice but to organize and rise up against systematic state terrorism ranging from zoning or military saturation drives under the pretense of "peace and order" to outright demolitions of houses and shanties.
Choked with the daily dose of poverty such as unabated rise in prices of basic commodities, poor living conditions, and the like, the government worsens it more by giving favor to big businesses, foreign and local, by way of demolitions and uncertain relocation of urban dwellers. Urban poor communities were left with no option but to fight for their lives and social justice.
