Struggle for
a Just and Lasting Peace

Gradient-line

Peace negotiations between the NDFP and GPH aim to address the root causes of civil war in the Philippines and to forge agreements on basic social, economic and political reforms. The most important agreement made by the negotiating parties is CARHRIHL, which accomplishes the first item in the substantive agenda of the peace negotiations. But the people's strong confidence in the CARHRIHL as an instrument to protect their rights is being curtailed by rampant violations of the agreement and peace process can't find its way to completion because of the government's machinations aimed at putting everything in peril. Firm in its commitment to serve the Filipino people by laying the ground for a just and lasting peace, the National Democratic Front of the Philippines strictly adheres to implement the forged agreements and asserts its position to continue the peace process as stated in The Hague Joint Declaration of 1992 without abandoning the armed struggle.
